The UDAAN scholarship program, sponsored by The Rotary Club of Bombay in partnership with Somaiya Vidyavihar University (SVU) provides valuable opportunities for the students who are academically qualified but financially disadvantaged.
Eligibility
Referred by The Rotary Club of Bombay
Applicant who scored minimum 70% in their SSC/HSC/ Graduation examination
Applicants’ annual Family income below Rs. Five Lakhs Only
Selection Process
Submission: The Applicant will be intimated via email regarding opening applications for the said scholarship, they are expected to apply on the portal with required documents (Somaiya.edu).
Screening: From the received applications, the scholarship team will verify the documents and shortlist the students for the further process.
Evaluation:The student will undergo a personal interaction to assess their genuineness and needs.
Documents Required
Income Proof: Income Proof: Income certificate OR Income Tax Return (ITR) for the latest financial year of both parents. If the mother is not working Nil return is required or provide the bank statement for the last six months.
Bank Statements: Last six months' bank statements of all earning family members (parents and elder siblings).
Address Proof: (Ration card & Recent electricity bill of residence of last three months)
Identity Proof: (Aadhar card copies of all earning members)
Educational Documents: Mark sheets from all previous boards.
Employment Proof: For salaried individuals: Appointment letter OR salary slip OR offer letter.
For self-employed individuals: GST certificate OR business-related legal documents.
Death Certificate (parent or guardians, If applicable)
Statement of Purpose letter to the Anand Rathi CSR team.
Self-Declaration: A signed declaration by the student
Awards
The Scholarship Award amount shall cover the college tuition fees, examination fees and the books for one year of the entire elected course of the Candidates. The Scholarship Award amount shall not cover any amount payable for extra coaching classes.
Renewal of scholarship is subject to The Candidate having scored minimum 70% grades and 75% attendance in the elected course in the previous academic year
