With the aim of motivating meritorious students to study in core branches, the Special Scholarship is offered to FY B. Tech Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) and Mechanical Engineering merit students who are eligible as per norms.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed HSC or its equivalent examination (CBSE/ICSE/Other boards) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subjects, and have appeared for JEE-Main/ SAT/ MHT-CET/ CUET 2024 entrance examination, are eligible to apply.

About Special Scholarship

It is a merit based scholarship in the range of INR. 1.25 to 2 Lakhs per year and will be applicable for all four years of the admitted B.Tech programme mentioned above. The amount offered as a special scholarship will be on a first-come-first-serve basis and the overall profile of the candidate.

Evaluation Parameters

The following parameters will be considered for selection of candidate for scholarship

 

• JEE MAIN (60 and above percentile)
• MHT-CET (60 and above percentile)
• CUET (60 and above percentile)
• SAT (60 and above percentile)

Scholarship Renewal

The amount offered as scholarship at the time of admission will be continued in the subsequent years provided the candidate maintains a consistent CGPI of 6.5 and above.

Important Instructions

• This Special scholarship is applicable only for candidates admitted in B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or B. Tech Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design & Technology) programmes. However, if a candidate changes the programme of study to any other, the offered scholarship stands canceled.
• Candidates, who are beneficiary of this Special Scholarship, will not be eligible for any other financial assistance or scholarship from Somaiya Vidyavihar University.
