Since its inception in 2012, the Mohan T. Advani Centennial Scholarships programme supports economically challenged but academically deserving students in their pursuit of a professional/technical programme, and to prepare them for their professional lives. The Blue Star Foundation supports the scholars in a holistic manner by providing them with financial support, bolstered with mentoring and internship opportunities as well as soft skills training.

I learnt about the MTA Bluestar Scholarship when I was in my second year of Electronics Engineering, 2017, via email from our Dean of Students Affairs of KJSCE. We were encouraged to apply for the scholarship for which an interview was conducted with the Board of Directors of Bluestar. My family’s financial status was pretty average then, and that is when the Bluestar scholarship came in as a guardian angel in my life. The scholarship provided me with financial support but at the same time, it also provided me with Internship opportunities at one of the finest HVAC companies in the industry.
Growing up in a less privileged community has offered financial and academic challenges and helped me realize the value of a college degree. Apart from the Scholarship, the virtual workshops conducted by Blue Star during these two years were so helpful and supportive to understanding Industry Knowledge in HVAC and also gained valuable experience. My educational pursuits would not be possible without the generous support from the K J Somaiya College of Engineering and Blue Star.
I am honored to be a part of the Bluestar MTA Centennial Scholarship. Bluestar which is an internationally reputed company, it is giving students an opportunity to learn skills and get placements on multiple platforms. Bluestar has also financially supported me so I can focus on my education without any hassles. In the past 2 years of my association with Bluestar, I have gained immense knowledge and insights into production management, research and development techniques and many more. Apart from that, bluestar seminars have helped us learn how to maintain life-work balance. I placed in PWC.
I got selected by Vertiv Energy Pvt Ltd during the campus placement, and the technical knowledge which they found in me was developed, brushed & enhanced by the faculty of Dept of Mechanical Engineering, KJSCE and Bluestar helped to enhance the technical knowledge and sharpen its related skill. The foundation helped me a lot during my academics by financial support, organizing seminars & internships.
